This announcement replaces announcement 9954V released at 15.54 on Wednesday 4 June which showed a wrong figure for the number of units still in issue.

British Empire Securities and General Trust plc announces that it has today bought back for cancellation 21,475 units of its Equities Index Unsecured Loan Stock at a price of £2.45 per unit. Following this purchase, there are 2,669,394 units of Equities Index Stock still in issue.
