The Company announces that the rate (gross of income tax) on the Equities Index
Loan Stock 2013, for the quarter ended 30 September 2003 is 2.051p per unit
calculated on a net dividend basis, equivalent to £20.51 per 1,000 units. The
record date is 30 September 2003 and the payment is being made today (10 October
2003).
