The rate of interest (gross of income tax) on the Equities Index Unsecured Loan
Stock 2013 of the Company for the quarter ended 30 September 2006 is 2.474 pence
per unit calculated on a net dividend basis, equivalent to £24.74 per 1,000
units of stock.  The record date was 30 September 2006 and payment will be made
on 10 October 2006.
