AUKETT GROUP PLC: BOARD CHANGES





At the Annual General Meeting today, in London, of Aukett Group Plc, the
architecture, design and engineering consultancy, the Executive Chairman, Andrew
Lett, made the following announcement about changes to the Board:



'Our vision is to become a first choice international provider of architecture,
design and engineering services to a broad client base, through our offices
which cover the majority of the UK and Europe.  This remains the Board's long
term objective for improving shareholder value.



In the shorter term my top priorities are to lead the Company's drive for new
business, ensure close control of debtors and cash and maximise the performance
of all existing operations.  Accordingly, with immediate effect, Mr Ian Mavor
will be assuming the role of non-executive Chairman, which will allow me to
focus entirely on the responsibilities of Chief Executive.



Mr Mavor, 60, a qualified solicitor, has been with the Company as a
non-executive director since May 1999 and until last year was a non-executive
director of The Securities and Futures Authority Limited.  From 1994 until 1999
he was Executive Director of RAC and before that a senior executive of IBM, both
in the UK and in Europe.



With the retirement of Alan Brooker following this meeting, Mr Ian McQuattie,
56, currently Chairman of Stanco Exhibitions Ltd and a non-executive Director of
Paradigm Technology Ltd, will take over the chair of the audit committee.  In
addition, he will chair a new committee of the Board, which is being established
to review corporate strategy.'
