The Company is pleased to announce today the appointment to the Board of Mr
Terry Osborne as a director and as Executive Chairman.
Terry Osborne, aged 67, enjoyed a distinguished career with IBM over the period
1961 to 1987, where he held Vice President positions in Europe and the USA. He
was also a director of IBM UK. In 1987, he founded SSA Ltd, a technology
company, and was President of SSA Inc for the period 1994 to 1996. Mr Osborne
has served on the Boards of several technology companies in both the USA and
Europe, including Chairman of Dr Solomon's Group plc, Prime Response Inc and
Eyretel plc. He was also a director of Mapics Inc. He is currently a director
of Dendrite International Inc., a primary technology supplier to the global
pharmaceutical industry, and Witness Systems Inc, a leading global supplier of
workforce performance optimisation software and services.
Richard Morgan-Evans, Managing Director, commented: "We are delighted that
Terry Osborne is joining the Board. He brings a wealth of commercial and
general management expertise gained within the technology sector and, in
particular, within enterprise software companies. In addition, he has, during
his career, generated significant value for shareholders in guiding companies
through the post entrepreneurial phase of growth that we now envisage at
Manpower Software. We look forward to his participation in the strategic
development of the Group as we move forward to the next stage of our growth."
Following the successful flotation on the AIM Market of Acta s.p.a., where he is
Chairman, Robert Drummond has today resigned as Chairman and Director of
Manpower Software. The Board wishes to express its thanks for his determined
approach and contribution both as a director and latterly as Chairman, and for
his role in establishing the Company as a successful and profitable software
supplier.
Note:
In addition to the above, Mr Osborne is currently Chairman of THO Consulting
Limited and of St John's Westminster RTM Company Limited. He was also a
director for the period from 2000 to 2002 of Entranet Ltd, which was the subject
of a members' voluntary liquidation in 2002. He is a graduate of London
University with a BSc in Mathematics. No further information falls to be
