                           Director's share purchase


The Company was notified today that Simon Thorne, finance director,  acquired on
1 May 2003 30,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the Company
('Ordinary Shares') each at a price of 7.75 pence per share.  Simon Thorne is
now interested in 715,083 Ordinary Shares representing 1.62 per cent of the
issued share capital.
