Amlin plc ('Amlin') announces that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each on the London Stock Exchange via ABN AMRO Bank NV.

Amlin intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury.

Following the purchases of these shares, Amlin holds 6,580,000 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 471,993,439 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
