                              Rights Issue Update

Further to its announcement on 1 November 2005 of a fully underwritten rights
issue (the 'Rights Issue'), Amlin plc announces that the prospectus in
connection with the Rights Issue (the 'Prospectus') and provisional allotment
letters are being dispatched today.

Two copies of the Prospectus have been submitted to the Document Viewing
Facility of the Financial Services Authority and will be available shortly for
inspection at the Financial Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary
