         ATTACHMENT TO AMLIN PLC NOTIFICATION DATED 21 DECEMBER 2000 OF 
          PARTNERS IN ROSTRUM INVESTORS LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS AND OTHERS

The notification in respect of 17,360,240 Amlin plc Ordinary Shares ('Shares')
is the aggregate interest of the following limited partners in Rostrum Investors
limited partnerships, whether or not those shares are held within the
partnerships:

Rostrum Limited
BriTel Fund Trustees Limited
British Airways Pension Trustees Limited
Enco Nominees Limited
Kleinwort Benson (Jersey) Trustees Limited
Possfund Custodian Trustee Limited
Stargas Nominees Limited

All of the above have entered into Limited Partnership Deeds, to which Section
204 of the Companies Act  1985 applies.

In addition, Northwestern Mutual has an interest in the Shares because its
subsidiary companies, Rostrum Limited and Enco Nominees Limited, are so
interested. Mr Michael J Wade is also interested in the same Shares by reason of
his effective shareholding in Rostrum Limited.

Granville Baird Capital Partners Limited is entitled to effective control over
the voting rights conferred by 8,897,470 of the Shares (4.3%). This is subject
to a separate announcement being made simultaneously with this.
