Amlin plc, the specialist insurer, announces that Patrick Coene is to stand down as Chief Executive of its wholly owned subsidiary Amlin Corporate Insurance NV ("ACI") on 30 June 2011 and will be leaving ACI on the same date. The search for a successor to Mr Coene is well underway.
Charles Philipps, Amlin plc Chief Executive, stated: "Patrick has been at the helm of ACI through a challenging period which commenced with its nationalisation by the Dutch State. Since our acquisition of ACI in mid-2009 he has worked closely with Amlin's management to stabilise the company and introduce a number of important changes which position the Company well for the future. We thank Patrick for his hard work and wish him well."
