Appointment of Finance Director

Assura Group Limited, the leading investor and developer of primary care properties, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Murphy as Finance Director with effect from 2 January 2013.

Jonathan has extensive experience of property management at Brooks Macdonald Group plc, where he is Finance Director of the fund management business, having joined through the acquisition of Braemar Group plc in 2010, where he was Finance Director for 4 years.  Since the transaction, Jonathan has been responsible for leading the integration of the businesses, in which time property assets under management have grown from £500 million to £850 million.

His earlier career included commercial and strategic roles at Spirit Group and Vodafone.  Jonathan qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, holding management roles in both the UK and Asia, and holds an MBA from IESE, the leading European Business School in Barcelona.

As required to be disclosed by Listing Rule 9.6.13, the only publicly quoted company directorship held by Jonathan Murphy in the previous five years was at Braemar Group plc.  He is not currently a director of a publicly quoted company.  There is no other information required to be disclosed.
