Following the announcement, on 28 February 2007, of the appointment to the Board
of Peter Smith, Associated British Foods plc (the 'Company') confirms the
following additional information under Listing Rule 9.6.13R (1): Peter Smith was
a director of RAC plc until 22 June 2005 and a director of Safeway plc until 8
March 2004. The Company confirms that no further information is required to be
notified under Listing Rule 9.6.13R (2) - (6) in respect of Mr Smith.

Following the appointments to the Board, with effect from 1 November 2006, of
Lord Jay of Ewelme GCMG and Mr Javier Ferran, the Company also confirms that it
has no additional information to disclose in respect of Listing Rules paragraphs
9.6.13R (1) - (6).
