Pursuant to section 198 of the Companies Acts 1985 please note that the number
of Associated British Engineering plc ordinary shares in which Peter
Gyllenhammar is interested in is now no longer notifiable following the sale
today of 68.500 shares which were registered in the name of Nordea Bank Danmark
which were equivalent to 5.22% of the issued ordinary capital.


No details of the sale price have been given.
