ASOS was informed on 17 January 2003 that Credit Suisse First Boston (Europe)
Limited ('CSFB Europe'), a member of the Credit Suisse First Boston group of
companies, acquired 3,100,000 ordinary shares of 3.5p each on 14 January 2003.

CSFB Europe now holds a total of 3,100,000 ordinary shares of 3.5p each,
representing 5.03 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
