Pentagon Protection PLC 20 October 2005 For release 07.00am 20 October 2005 Pentagon Protection plc Trading Update and Contract Gains Pentagon Protection Plc ('Pentagon' or 'the Company'), provider of safety and security products for commercial, architectural and automobile glass, announces that its Pentagon Filmtek, buildings and flat glass division has achieved record invoiced sales in the three months July to September 2005 in excess of £1m. This has included contract gains in Europe, the UK and the Middle East for the retro-fit installation of its FT800 glass containment film and anchoring systems. The largest of these contracts is for Ares Tower in Vienna, a twin-faced, 25-storey glass facade building, requiring enhanced protection for their bolted glazing system as a safety precaution in the event of glass breakage. The total contract value of the Ares Tower project is £500,000, of which £300,000 is included in the current invoiced sales to September 2005. On schedule for completion this month, Pentagon Filmtek has been approached to develop and provide enhanced glazing safety for other significant projects in Austria. Solar protection works have also been completed during this three month period for Nestle UK Ltd at its Croydon-based UK head office to a value of £57,000 and blast protection of glass containment and anchoring worth £30,000 for DHL offices in Bahrain and Jordan, as part of a worldwide support carried out worldwide for DHL by Pentagon Filmtek. Other Middle Eastern projects include security upgrade works for Jumeirah International's Emirates Tower, Jumeirah Beach and Burj Al Arab hotels in Dubai, with a contract value of £250,000. Commenting, Alan Nicholl, Group Managing Director, Pentagon Protection plc said: 'The level of interest being received for enhanced glazing protection is worldwide and the group has a very healthy order book as we continue to work very closely with many government agencies, UN missions and British Council properties globally. The most recently completed project for British Council was for their London Head Office in Trafalgar Square.'
