STOCK EXCHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

EDINBURGH DRAGON TRUST PLC

The board of Edinburgh Dragon Trust are pleased to announce the issue of
51,722 ordinary shares at a price of 60 pence per share on 7 February 2001.
The shares were allotted following the exercise of 51,722 warrants (to
subscribe for ordinary shares) on 31 January 2001.

The listing of the shares on the London Stock Exchange was approved on 9
February 2001 and the shares commenced trading on 12 February 2001.

As a result of the issue, there are now 226,628,325 ordinary shares in issue.
