Further to yesterday's announcement, the Company wishes to advise that the 
Barclays PLC holding comprises:

1.     a material interest of 18,810,073 shares representing 5.79% of the issued
share capital of the Company, an increase of 0.55% (1,786,553 shares) since the 
last notification;
and

2.     a non-material interest of 14,844,360 shares representing 4.56% of the 
issued share capital of the Company, an increase of 1.10% (3,582,230 shares) 
since the last notification.

Since the combined material and non-material interests exceed 10%, the combined 
holding falls to be notified.
