                   NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES

The following disclosure of material interests in shares under sections 198 -
220 of the Companies Act 1985 was made to Anite Group plc ('the Company') on 22
May 2006:

Aberforth Partners LLP disclosed a notifiable interest, as at 19 May 2006, in
35,505,396 ordinary shares representing 10.10% of the Company's issued share
capital, held as follows:
