                       Anite Group plc (the 'Company')

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange plc and the UK Listing
Authority for 190,294 Ordinary shares of 10p each ('shares') to be admitted to
the Official List. It is expected that admission to admit the new shares will
be granted on 05 November 2001 and that dealings will commence on 06 November
2001.

These shares are being issued as consideration for the acquisition of Braid
Hill Holdings Ltd.

These shares will rank pari passu with the existing issued Ordinary shares.
