Ashmore Group plc ('Ashmore', the 'Group'), the leading emerging markets asset
manager, today announces the appointment of Graeme Dell, to the Group Board as
Group Finance Director with immediate effect.

Graeme was previously Group Finance Director of Evolution Group plc. There are
no further details required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 in
connection with his appointment.
