Ascent was informed on 30 January 2007 by AXA S.A., that as at 24 January 2007,
AXA S.A. was interested in 32,800,000 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the
Company ('Ordinary Shares'), representing 12.39% of the issued share capital of
the Company.  Of these 32,800,000 Ordinary Shares, AXA S.A. had a beneficial
interest in 15,500,000 Ordinary Shares (5.85%) and a non-beneficial interest in
17,300,000 Ordinary Shares (6.53%).
