Following the announcement on 1 June 2001 by The Dow Chemicals Company that
its offer for Ascot had become wholly unconditional, Ascot has today been
advised that Fidelity International Ltd (FIL) and its direct and indirect
subsidiaries no longer hold an interest in the company's ordinary issued share
capital.
