Ascot Plc has today received notification from CGNU plc that
following the merger of CGU plc and Norwich Union plc, the
notifiable interest held by CGNU plc and its subsidiaries is
3,058,950 ordinary shares representing 4.0% of Ascot's issued
ordinary share capital.

The shares are held as follows:
