Ascot announces that options have been granted today under the Ascot Plc 1994
Executive Share Option Scheme (the 'Executive Scheme') at an option price of
327.5p being the mid-market price of Ascot ordinary shares derived from The
Stock Exchange Daily Official List as at the close of business on 29 September
1999. The options granted are as follows:
