                                 AGM Statement


Michael Spriggs, Chairman, Ariana Resources plc ('Ariana' or 'the Company'), the
gold exploration company focused exclusively on Turkey, made the following
comments at today's Annual General Meeting:


'Since admission to AIM last July the Company has accelerated its exploration
programmes and increased its presence on the ground. The funds raised on
admission have been effectively deployed and the Board is confident that the
work being carried out will lead to the Company achieving its stated aims and
aspirations.


'In 2005 Ariana acquired the Sindirgi project in Western Turkey, and positive
results from two of its prospects are indicating that it has the potential to be
a very significant gold system. We have also identified several other prospects
which are now being looked at in detail, including a 750m long by 50m wide gold
anomaly at Kinik. Over 500,000 km2 of Turkey have been reviewed, with the data
analysed and then stored in the in-house database. This is a wonderful
achievement by the team.


'The additional funds of £2 million raised in May 2006 will be used to
accelerate the exploration programmes and to undertake a drilling programme at
the Kiziltepe and Kepez prospects within the Sindirgi project, where we believe
there is the potential for a major gold deposit to be found.


'Your Board are positive about the busy programme now planned'.


All resolutions proposed at today's Annual General Meeting were duly passed.
