APPOINTMENT OF FINANCE DIRECTOR



Arbuthnot Banking Group PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of James Cobb as Group Finance Director.  James Cobb will join the Board and assume the responsibilities of Group Finance Director on 1 November, 2008.


James Cobb (39) qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. For the last 13 years he has worked at Citigroup and is currently Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Controller of Citigroup's Global Consumer Group in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
