                                 BOARD CHANGES

Secure Trust Banking Group PLC announces that Christopher Airey is leaving the
Group with immediate effect. His position as Chief Executive of the Group's
subsidiary, Arbuthnot Securities, will be taken over by Stephen Lockley, who is
currently Group Finance Director and Chief Executive of the Group's private
banking division, Arbuthnot Latham.
