Bob The Pigeon Back Home in Gateshead, Pet!

Anpario, the independent manufacturer of natural sustainable animal feed additives for health, nutrition and biosecurity, is delighted to see that Bob, the pigeon, is safely back in his loft in Gateshead, England and repatriated with his owner Alan Todd. 

Anpario, manufacturer of leading product Orego-Stim® has been supplying pigeon fanciers across the globe for over 30 years, stepped forward to help bring Bob home when he found himself on the other side of the Atlantic in Alabama, USA, after he got lost during a race from Guernsey to Gateshead . "We work with pigeon fanciers worldwide, supplying Orego-Stim ® , alongside other products, to birds like Bob to naturally support gut health", Sarah Osborne, Anpario's Corporate Development Director commented.

"When we heard of Alan's plight to bring home Bob, we didn't hesitate to offer our help. Our staff here in the UK and US worked with Alan and the other parties involved in the operation to reunite him with his champion bird", Sarah Osborne continued.   

The world's media has been intrigued with Bob's 4000-mile journey to Alabama, after apparently hitching a ride on a ship across the Atlantic. Bob's repatriation has taken careful planning by all involved, and liaison with authorities, airlines etc. both here and in the US.  Last week Alan Todd, secretary of the Winlaton West End Homing Society in Tyne & Derwent Federation, flew to the US and collected Bob from Monroe Country Animal Shelter, where he has been cared for since being discovered.

Like Lady Oregon, Anpario's winner of the 2020 Sydney Gold Ring Race, Bob will be retired after his prize-winning career for breeding purposes.  Now that sounds like a marriage made in the loft!
