ANGLO-EASTERN PLANTATIONS PLC

PURCHASE OF OWN SHARES - TREASURY SHARES

Anglo-Eastern Plantations has today purchased in the market 50,000 of its own
ordinary shares ( 0.125% of issued share capital ) at 386 pence per share to be
held as Treasury Shares.

Total holding of Treasury Shares after this purchase is 518,000 shares (1.3% of
issued share capital)
