ANGLO-EASTERN PLANTATIONS PLC

VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, voting
rights are as follows:

Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc's capital consists of 39,958,272 ordinary shares
with voting rights.  Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc holds 468,000 ordinary shares
in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc is
39,490,272.

The above figure (39,490,272) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Anglo-Eastern Plantations
Plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
