            INTERIM ANNOUNCEMENT DATE - TUESDAY 18 SEPTEMBER 2001


Anglo-Eastern Plantations, which operates and is developing plantations in
Indonesia and Malaysia amounting to some 40,000 ha, principally producing palm
oil, proposes to announce its results for the half year to 30 June 2001 on
Tuesday 18 September 2001.
