          INTERIMS DATE - THURSDAY 28 SEPTEMBER 2000
                               
Anglo-Eastern, which operates and is developing plantations in
Indonesia and Malaysia amounting to some 40,000 ha principally
producing palm oil, proposes to announce its results  for  the
half  year  ended 30 June 2000 tomorrow, Thursday 28 September
2000.
