Anglo-Eastern Plantations PLC 28 April 2008 ANGLO-EASTERN PLANTATIONS PLC Directorate change Mr Rollo Barnes, aged 63, Finance Director and Company Secretary of Anglo-Eastern (AEP.L), which operates and is developing some 83,000 hectares of plantations, primarily palm oil in Indonesia, will be retiring on 30 April 2008. Mr David William Smith was appointed a director of Anglo-Eastern with effect from 26 April 2008 and will take over from Mr Barnes as Finance Director and Company Secretary on 1 May 2008. Mr Smith, aged 59, is a Chartered Accountant. He was previously with the Commonwealth Development Corporation and has extensive international experience, particularly in agriculture. He has been involved in investment in the oil palm sector and has worked in Indonesia in plantations. Dato' John Lim was appointed a non-executive director of Anglo-Eastern with effect from 26 April 2008. Dato' Lim, aged 58, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has been a partner for 22 years, the last 10 of which have been with UHY Hacker Young LLP, Chartered Accountants, in London. He has extensive audit and business consultancy experience, particularly with Far Eastern clients with operations in the UK. Neither Mr Smith nor Dato Lim has held any directorship in any publicly quoted company at any time in the previous five years and there are no details to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
