DIRECTORATE CHANGES


Mr Foo San Kan will be appointed an independent non-executive director with
effect from 1 October 2003.



Mr Foo, aged 55, is a chartered accountant of both the Malaysian and England &
Wales institutes.  Prior to his retirement at the end of 2002 he was country
managing partner of Ernst & Young, Malaysia, from 1997 to 2002, having spent a
total of 29 years with Ernst & Young.



He is currently a director of Symphony House Berhad and Salcon Berhad, both
listed on the Kuala Lumpur stock exchange.





Dato Haron bin Dato Mohd. Salleh will stand down as a director with effect from
1 October 2003.  Dato Haron will continue as managing director of
Anglo-Eastern's Malaysian operations.
