DIRECTOR'S SHAREHOLDING

NOTIFICATION OF DIRECTORS AND CONNECTED PERSONS



Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc has today been informed that Metroplex Berhad, a
company listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange, in which Mdm S K Lim, a
director of Anglo-Eastern, has a significant interest has transferred its
interest in 468,000 shares (1.18%) of Anglo-Eastern to Malayan Banking Berhad in
satisfaction of a debt due to that bank.


Following the transfer the total direct and indirect interest of Mdm S K Lim in
the issued share capital of Anglo-Eastern is 20,521,314 shares or 51.56%.
