Notification of interests of directors and connected persons


On 2 December 2003, Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc announced that Chan Teik Huat
(chairman and chief executive) had acquired 71,400 shares (0.18%) on the
exercise of share options.


As part of a reorganisation of the family holdings of Chan Teik Huat and his
wife, Lim Siew Kim, these shares have been transferred at no consideration to
Genton International Limited, a company controlled by Madam Lim (a non-executive
director).


Following this transfer the total interest of Genton International Limited in
Anglo-Eastern is 20,247,814 shares (51.16%) and that of Mr Chan is nil.
