As part of its voluntary liquidation, SouthQuay Global Markets Limited
('SouthQuay') disposed of its entire holding of 244,117 shares (0.6%) in
Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc on 21 February 2003.



Mr Wee Sin Tho, a director of Anglo-Eastern, ceased to be a manager of SouthQuay
in May 2002 and therefore had no interest in this disposal.  Mr Wee has no other
interest in Anglo-Eastern Plantations Plc.
