                                AWARD OF OPTIONS


Anglo Asian Mining PLC (AIM: AAZ) the gold and copper development company with
projects in Azerbaijan, announces the award of the following options:

Gordon Lewis     1,400,000

Richard Round    600,000

Khosrow Zamani   500,000

The above options are awarded over Ordinary Shares of 1p each at an option price
of 12p per share. The options vest in two equal instalments being 6 months and
18 months from today's date.
