ANGLE has been selected by the London Development Agency (LDA), subject to contract, for the delivery of the Knowledge Connect Programme. The Knowledge Connect Programme aims to increase the level of business research and development in London by creating new collaborations between business and the London knowledge base, with a focus on enterprises that have not previously worked with this sector. This flagship Programme, a core part of the LDA's Knowledge Transfer Strategy, will engage with 1,600 businesses and involve ANGLE working intensively with 265 businesses across London. Additionally ANGLE has developed techniques which, it was able to demonstrate, have secured successful knowledge transfer from academic and research institutions and have measurable business benefits for a wide range of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Andrew Newland, Chief Executive of ANGLE, said: 'This represents a major success for our Management services business and underlines our strategy of focusing on long-term and profitable contracts. In addition to generating new revenue for ANGLE it also clearly illustrates the attraction of our business model for SMEs looking to develop and commercialise their IP. 'We are delighted to have been selected to partner the London Development Agency in this new project. Our team is looking forward to working with London's businesses to help identify new opportunities and secure business growth through knowledge transfer and innovation.' Garth Selvey, Chairman of ANGLE, added: 'This project adds to the strength of our Management services business, which provides the platform for ANGLE's ongoing operation.
