The purchase price in Paragragh 1 should read 113p 
not 140p as published.

Andrews Sykes Group plc has today been notified by the Trustee that  the
1998  Employee Share Ownership Plan has today purchased a further  5,000
Ordinary  20p  shares at 113p per share.  Following  this  purchase  the
holding  of  the Employee Share Ownership Plan is 170,000  Ordinary  20p
shares representing 0.199% of the Company's issued share capital.

The following directors are potential beneficiaries under the Scheme and
therefore are deemed to have acquired a non-beneficial interest in these
shares.
