HOLDING IN COMPANY

Aminex PLC, ("the Company"), the oil and gas company listed on the London and
Irish Stock Exchanges, was today notified that The Bank of England Pension Fund
sold its entire shareholding 3,371,000 ordinary shares of Eur0.06 each in the
Company ("Shares").  The Shares were registered in the name of The Securities
Management Trust Limited.
