Board Appointments

Aminex PLC 21 February 2006 21 FEBRUARY 2006 AMINEX PLC APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS Aminex PLC ("Aminex"), the oil and gas company listed in London and Dublin, today announces the appointment of two directors effective immediately. Michael Pereira-Rego has been appointed Exploration Director. A geologist, he joined Aminex in 1998 as resident manager for Aminex's Dachnoye field in Tatarstan and then became Exploration Manager for Russia. In 2001, he was appointed Aminex Group Exploration manager. Prior to joining Aminex, Mr Rego worked for BP and for Lasmo. He is a Fellow of the Geological Society. Andrew Windham has been appointed a non-executive director. A lawyer by profession, he worked for a number of years for Clyde Petroleum plc where he became Legal Director and Company Secretary. In recent years, Mr Windham has been the Commercial Director of Energy Africa Limited and since its takeover by Tullow Oil plc has acted for that enlarged group as a legal and commercial consultant. He is a non-executive director of Desire Petroleum PLC.
