                    INTERIMS DATE - THURSDAY 9 FEBRUARY 2006

Alumasc, the premium building and engineering products group, proposes to
announce its results for the six months ended 31 December 2005 on Thursday 9
February 2006.

On that day, from 09:30am to 10:30am, a presentation to broker's analysts and
private client investment advisers will be held at the offices of Bankside
Consultants, 1 Frederick's Place, London EC2R 8AE. Those proposing to attend are
asked to notify Bankside Consultants.
