              Interim Announcement Date - Thursday 8 February 2007

Alumasc (ALU.L), the premium building and engineering products group, proposes
to announce its results for the half year ended 31 December 2006 on Thursday
8 February 2007.

On that date, from 09.30 to 10.30, a presentation will be made to brokers'
