                   PRELIMS DATE - WEDNESDAY 7 SEPTEMBER 2005

Alumasc, the premium building and engineering products group, proposes to
announce its results for the year ended 30 June 2005 on Wednesday 7 September
2005.

On that day, from 9:30 am - 10.30 am, a presentation to broker's analysts and
private client investment advisers will be held at the offices of Bankside
Consultants, 1 Frederick's Place, London EC2R 8AE. Those proposing to attend are
asked to notify Bankside Consultants.
