   Cancellation of the Company's share premium account and capital redemption
                                    reserve
                               becomes effective

Further to the announcement of 30 May 2007, The Alumasc Group plc, the premium
building and engineering products group (the "Company"), today announces that
the High Court of Justice confirmed the cancellations of the Company's share
premium account and capital redemption reserve on 20 June 2007 and that the
cancellations became effective on 22 June 2007 on registration of the court
order by the Registrar of Companies.
