Alkane Energy plc was yesterday notified that CGNU plc has an interest in
3,333,333 ordinary shares of 0.5p each in Alkane Energy (3.73% of the issued
share capital), of which 2,222,222 shares are registered in the name of BNY
Norwich Union Nominees Limited and 1,111,111 shares are registered in the name
of Chase GA Group Nominees Limited.
