Alkane Energy PLC 04 June 2004 4 June 2004 Alkane Energy plc ('The Company') Board Changes Alkane Energy plc, the international green energy company, today announces significant chances to the make-up of the Board which will take place with immediate effect. David Cross has resigned as a Director of the Company and hence from his position as Chief Executive to pursue other interests. Dr Cameron Davies has moved from the position of Executive Chairman to become Chief Executive. John Lander has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of the Company in the role of Non-Executive Chairman. John Lander was, until his recent retirement, a Director of Tullow Oil plc ('Tullow') and Managing Director of Tullow Oil UK Limited. He has more than 36 years experience in the international oil and gas industry and during the past four years he has successfully helped Tullow to become a significant North Sea operator and gas producer.
