Additional Listing

Alkane announces that application has been made to the London Stock Exchange for the listing of 249,939 new ordinary shares of 0.5 pence each. The admission is being made pursuant to the exercise on 15 January 2013 of options over 200,000 shares at an exercise price of 17.5 pence per share, and options over 49,939 shares at 16.5 pence per share, under the Group's Post-Admission Share Option Plan.

It is expected that dealings in the new ordinary shares will commence at 8.00am on 22 January 2013. Following the admission of the new shares, the issued share capital will be 101,263,024 ordinary shares.
