                               New C Share issue



    allots 20,626,697 New C Shares in respect of the Offer for Subscription

                   and announces that the Offer is now closed





The Board of Close Technology & General VCT is pleased to announce that
20,626,697 New 'C'  Shares have been allotted under the Offer for Subscription
pursuant to the prospectus dated 7 November 2005 taking the total fundraising to
£35,000,000. The Offer is now closed for subscription.



Dealings in the New C Shares allotted in respect of the Offer will commence on 3
April 2006.   Application has already been made to the UK Listing Authority and
to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to the Official
List.
